The plastic raw materials are in a molten state in the tube, which can be imagined as the plastic molecular chain becomes loose. Assume that the temperature of the raw material in the tube is 210 degrees. When the temperature rises to 230 degrees, the entanglement of "molecular chains" will be fluffier. In simple terms, when the temperature increases, the viscosity of the plastic will decrease, and when the viscosity decreases, the liquidity will increase. For example, we inject the raw materials (named ABS) at 210 degrees and 230 degrees, respectively. It can be imagined that two horses are racing, and ABS with a material temperature of 230 degrees will run faster. Therefore, moderately increasing the material temperature can improve liquidity, thereby reducing the flow resistance. However, when using high-temperature material temperatures, the following points must be noted: (1) raw material type During injection molding, if the raw materials used are "fire-resistant materials", "raw materials with poor thermal stability" and "acid materials", the temperature of the materials must not be too high when heating the materials. It may cause risks such as "raw material cracking" or "reduction of physical properties". Also, it is easy to volatilize toxic gases during processing and cause harm to the human body. (2) product color When the color of the injected product is "white", "transparent" or "light", it is easy to cause color difference or slight yellowing of the finished product due to the higher temperature of the material. Therefore, when using high purged resin melt temperatures needing attention. (3) production cycle To ensure the production quality, any kind of raw material cannot stay in the material tube for too long. It is recommended that the time for the plastic to stay in the material tube should not exceed 3 to 5 minutes. Last but not least, I will share a suggestion on the setting of the material temperature. When the mold test or adjustment is not smooth, please refer to the processing conditions provided by the raw material manufacturer and check the temperature of the material tube, maybe we can find ways to improve injection.
